Two COVID-19 cases reported to East Lyme Middle School
East Lyme — The school district was notified Wednesday of two COVID-19 cases specific to East Lyme Middle School, the superintendent said in a notice to the school community.
Contact tracing was completed and anyone who was identified as a primary contact with the affected individuals was given quarantining instructions, Superintendent Jeffrey Newton said in the notice. He did not specify whether the two cases involved students or staff members.
He said the middle school would be open on Thursday and no other buildings were impacted by these cases.
