Make A Difference: St. Vincent de Paul Place
WHO: St. Vincent de Paul Place community members.
AGENCY: St. Vincent de Paul Place.
THE SITUATION: St. Vincent de Paul Place has seen a sharp increase in community need due to the pandemic. This year instead of highlighting one person in need, the agency is asking for help for its Care and Advocacy program, which supports a large group of individuals. Bus tickets and men’s gloves are in short supply. People ask for bus tickets to get to work or a doctor’s appointment and pick up prescriptions and groceries, etc. Getting around during the cold months is always a challenge, especially for people on fixed incomes.
WHAT TO GIVE: Checks can be made payable to St. Vincent de Paul Place and mailed to 120 Cliff St., Norwich, CT 06360, with “Make a Difference” in the memo. Funds will be used to buy bus tickets. A single bus ride is $2, a full-day pass costs $3, and a monthly pass costs $31.
TO DONATE: Contact Jillian Corbin, executive director, at (860) 889-7374 or jcsvdpp@gmail.com.
