Waterford — The COVID-19 pandemic has kept a lot of families apart this year, but some have found ways to get together.

Cheryl Lee, her daughter Abbi Lee and friend Rich Peterson, all of Middleboro, Mass., met up at Harkness Memorial Park on Saturday with and Cheryl Lee's son, Eric Roche, wife Marissa and son Myles, 1, of White Plains, N.Y., to exchange Christmas presents in the parking lot. The family usually spends Christmas at Cheryl Lee's home but, due to the pandemic, they met at the park, which is halfway between both cities.

In fact, since the pandemic started, they have met a few times at the park, where they could safely spend time together outdoors.
