New London Homeless Hospitality Center seeks volunteers
New London — The New London Homeless Hospitality Center is seeking volunteers for a variety of positions at both the homeless shelter and warming center at All Souls Unitarian Universalist Congregation.
The most pressing need is for a driver to deliver meals from the soup kitchen to the warming center on Monday nights. This is a one- to two-hour commitment each week, depending on whether the volunteer stays to help serve the food or just drop it off.
The homeless hospitality center also is looking for individuals to assist at the shelter’s help center and at the winter warming center. Mostly weekday shifts are available, though there also are limited openings on evenings and weekends.
If you would like to be part of the team, or if you would like more information about the opportunities available, please email the shelter’s volunteer coordinator, Sara Ofner-Seals, at volunteer@nlhhc.org.
