Kindness in Real Life: Secret citizen offers warm clothing in Sprague
When a certain grandmother in Sprague saw shivering kids arriving at Sayles School without hats, sweaters or gloves, she decided to do something about it.
She rustled up a bunch of cold weather clothes — hats, scarves, jackets, mittens — tucked them into plastic bags, and hung them on the fence next to town hall. Anyone is welcome to come take what they need.
The concerned citizen prefers to keep her identity a secret.
The program was made possible with a donation from the Lisbon Lions and a few generous citizens.
