COVID-19 vaccination clinic to open at Westerly Senior Center

Westerly — Westerly Hospital and the town will help support a COVID-19 vaccination clinic at the Westerly Senior Center.

The clinic will be open to Westerly residents 75 years of age and older and will start administering vaccines next week on Monday afternoons. Vaccines will be administered by appointment only.

A municipal point of distribution site arranged through the town's Emergency Management Agency, the clinic will be staffed by Westerly Hospital employees as well as volunteers from the town. The town will oversee the scheduling of appointments and procurement of the vaccine.

Due to the limited availability of doses provided to the state of Rhode Island by the federal government, the clinic only will be open on Mondays. Additional days and hours may be added as more vaccine becomes available.

To schedule an appointment, access Code Red on the town's website, https://westerlyri.gov. For more information, call (401) 348-2526.
