Groton Democratic Town Committee looking for people interested in serving community

The Groton Democratic Town Committee said in a news release that it "is looking for people interested in serving their community for both elected positions and Boards and Commissions."

"Experience not necessary to be considered, just an interest to serve and a willingness to work with others, listen to and learn more while making decisions that will help chart the future of our community for years to come," the release stated. "All are welcome."

Candidates will be endorsed to run for Town Council, Board of Education, town clerk and Representative Town Meeting at the committee's July 21 meeting and then will campaign for election on Nov. 2.
