New London — If you strolled down to the city's waterfront Tuesday, you may have noticed something new.

Owner and developer Frank Maratta and his contractors were busy installing and aligning several shipping containers, which will be the new City Dock Oyster Bar, on the Custom House Pier.

Maratta said the project has been in the works for over three years and the construction of the shipping containers took five months. He said he hopes to open in mid-May.
