Mystic — Summer employees were learing the art of how to make the perfect soft serve cone Wednesday during staff training at the Sea Swirl.

The popular stop for soft serve ice cream and fried fish opens for the season on Thursday, May 13.

Co-owner Kelly Adams said the shop on Williams Avenue has been open for about 35 to 40 years. This is the 10th year of ownership for Adams and her husband, Ryan Devlin-Perry.
