Preston Republicans seek candidates for fall election
Preston — The Republican Town Committee is seeking candidates interested in running for boards and commissions in the Nov. 2 election.
The town committee will hold a caucus at 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 23, at Preston Plains Middle School, 1 Route 164, to nominate and endorse candidates. All registered Republicans in Preston are invited to attend and participate.
Candidates will be endorsed for the following positions on the ballot: first selectman, selectman, town clerk/tax collector, Board of Finance, Board of Education, Board of Assessment Appeals, Planning and Zoning Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals.
