Groton — Ceferino Lopez of Norwich was followed by his children Leah, 12, Leigh, 14, Leanne, 17, and Leo, 18, as they navigated past puddles in the parking lot Thursday while starting off on a mountain bike ride at Bluff Point State Park.

Ceferino said at least once a week they pile everyone who's free and their bikes into the family's minivan to bike for a few hours along the trails.

"This is the closest trail where we can get a little muddy," he commented on why they visit.
