    Voter registration sessions to be held Oct. 26 throughout region

    Municipalities in the region will hold a special registration session on Tuesday, Oct. 26, for all eligible unregistered voters.

    Groton

    Registrars will hold the registration session from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Voter Registration Office at the Groton Human Services Building, 2 Fort Hill Road.

    A limited voter registration session will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 1 for those seeking to vote in the general election whose qualifications as to age, citizenship, or residence was attained after Oct. 26.

    People with questions concerning voter registration and voting can call the Groton Voter Registration Office at (860) 441-6650. Normal office hours are Thursdays and Fridays 8:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Tuesdays, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

    New London

    The city’s registrars of voters will hold the registration session from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Oct. 26 at City Hall, 181 State St.

    This is the last regular session for admission of electors for those who became 18 years of age, U.S. Citizen or resident of the municipality on or before this date.

    Those who move to town, become citizens or turn 18 after Oct. 26 may register between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Nov. 1 at City Hall.

    Ledyard

    The Ledyard Registrar of Voters will accept voter registrations from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at Ledyard Town Hall, 741 Colonel Ledyard Highway. This is the last regular voter registration session prior to the election.

    On Monday, Nov. 1, a registration session will be held 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for electors who become 18 years of age, U. S. citizens or residents of the municipality after Oct. 26.

    East Lyme

    The town will hold its voter registration session from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at the East Lyme Community Center.

    A second session will be held Monday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the community center solely for those who moved into or within East Lyme between Oct. 26 and Nov. 1 or who have changed their name in the same timeframe, registrars said.

    Election Day registration will be available from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Nov. 2 in the youth center area of the community center for anyone who meets eligibility requirements and is not already registered, or is registered but has moved to another town.

    Salem

    The registrars will hold office hours Oct. 26 at the Salem Town Hall, 270 Hartford Road, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. to accept voter registrations for the Nov. 2 municipal election. This is the last regular voter registration session prior to the election.

    On Nov. 1, registrars will hold a limited voter registration session in their office from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for those who qualified to vote after Oct. 26.

    The Town Hall is open to the public and masks are required.

    Stonington

    The registrars will hold a special registration session from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at Town Hall.

    On Nov. 1, a limited session will be offered from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for those whose age, citizenship or residence qualifications are attained after Oct. 26.
