    U.S. Navy Los Angeles-class attack submarine USS Albany (SSN 753) went up the Thames River on Friday while en route to the Naval Submarine Base in Groton.

    The Albany, the 5th naval vessel named for the Capital of New York, is home-ported in Norfolk, Virginia, and making a port call in Groton.
