New London offers free parking for the holidays
New London — The New London Parking Authority is now offering free parking downtown, an annual effort to allow stress-free shopping, dining and strolling during the holidays.
Free parking is available on-street and in the municipal lot off Eugene O’Neill Drive through New Year's Day.
New London Parking Director Carey Redd said the decision to waive parking fees in the downtown municipal parking lot has become a tradition to support residents and visitors conducting their holiday shopping in New London.
“This is a nice way for the NLPA to support the business community, while providing an opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy what the City of New London has to offer for holiday shoppers,” he said in a statement.
