High winds hit the region but milder weather ahead
Westerly — High winds made for high waves here Tuesday.
Wednesday is expected to be much milder, with highs in the mid-40s during the day, according to the Meteorological Studies and Weather Center at Western Connecticut State University. However, expect light rain and some snow overnight into Thursday.
