Free COVID-19 vaccination clinic to be held Saturday in Groton

Groton — A free COVID-19 vaccination will be held Saturday in Groton.

The clinic will be held from noon to 4 p.m. at McDonald's at 561 Long Hill Road and is open to people ages 5 and older.

The clinic will offer all brands of the COVID-19 vaccine and first, second and booster shots, including the second booster shot for people 50 and over, according to the state Department of Public Health.

The state Department of Public Health and Griffin Health, along with community partners, are holding the clinic.

Walk-ins are welcome, and no appointment is required, according to a flier.

"Please bring a health insurance card and photo ID if you have them, but it is not necessary to have health insurance or ID to receive the vaccine," the flier states. "No one will be turned away for lack of insurance or ID."
