Let's Go: Quiet Corner Film Festival returns June 1
The Quiet Corner Film Festival will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, at Killingly High School. Film screening starts around 6:15 p.m.
The only festival of its kind in northeast Connecticut, the Quiet Corner Film Festival is open to high school filmmakers from all over eastern Connecticut. Films created between September 2021 and May of 2022 are eligible to enter.
These student filmmakers, their cast and crew will be treated like celebrities as they walk the 70-foot red carpet surrounded by photographers, cameras and microphones catching all the action.
Films will be judged by a panel of expert. Entries will be eligible for cash prizes totaling nearly $1,000. The filmmakers will also be eligible to win trophies and prizes in categories like best directing, editing, and cinematography. The audience will also have a say with an award for audience favorite.
