The Valley Shore YMCA has named Tony Sharillo as its new Chief Executive Officer, effective May 30. Selected by the Y’s Board of Directors following a six-month search, Sharillo will succeed Chris Pallatto who assumed a new role with the YMCA in January. In his new role Sharillo will be responsible for growing the YMCA’s programs in the community and leading the second phase of the YMCAs capital campaign.

“During our search for a new CEO, we looked at candidates from throughout the country, but Tony stood out among the rest. His energy and vision for the Valley Shore YMCA is exactly what we were looking for in a leader,” Ethan Weiner, YMCA board president, said in a release.

Weiner cited the new leader’s experience as the Director of Operations at the Valley Shore YMCA, where he managed operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Sharillo comes to the Y with 21 years of experience with the YMCA, including working for the Northern Middlesex and Waterbury YMCAs.
