Juan Carlos Rojas works on painting the outside of 191 Bank Street in New London Tuesday, November 22, 2022, where the space will soon become a new business.
“This is my favorite color,” said Carol Balbuena who is leasing the space as an office for her insurance company BR Insurance Group as well as a co-working space.
“I know how hard it is to start a small business,” she said of the community aspect of her office, “and if I can help out for a meeting or a desk, I’m here.”
She plans to open next summer after renovations are complete. The space was formerly Sweetie's Bakery & Cafe, which closed in March of 2020.
