    Funds being raised for Bristol police officers’ families

    Buon Appetito restaurant in North Stonington will donate 100% of all dinners on Monday, Dec. 5 in support of the families of Bristol Lt. Dustin DeMonte and Sgt. Alex Hamzy who were who were killed in the line of duty on Oct. 12. Petrit, Alex, and Mirela Jakaj Marku said they hope to raise $5,000 for each family. The restaurant is at 386 Norwich-Westerly Road, North Stonington. For reservations call (860) 535-2333.

    The Bristol Police Commissioners and the Bristol Police Union have established The Bristol Police Heroes Fund to support the families. Donations are being accepted at all Thomaston Savings Bank locations, as well as online and by mail. Contrtibutions can be mailed to Police Heroes Fund c/o Thomaston Savings Bank, P.O.
