New London ― Members of the corps of cadets at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy participated in the final regimental review of the school year, often called the Graduation Review, on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, on the academy's Washington Parade Field.
Regimental reviews are part of military traditions and ceremonies, which serve to develop poise, confidence, speaking skills, leadership and service pride.
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas is scheduled to be the keynote speaker at the academy's graduation ceremonies on Wednesday.
