Stonington -- The annual Westerly-Pawatuck Memorial Day Parade will begin at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Pawcatuck Shopping Center on Route 1.

The parade will exit the rear of the Pawcatuck Shopping Center onto Pequot Trail and proceed to the Pawcatuck World War I Memorial on Route 234, before continuing onto West Broad Street and stopping at the Pawcatuck River Bridge by the Westerly Pawcatuck War Memorial for music and ceremonies.

The parade will then move toward Wilcox Park on High Street where there will be closing ceremonies at the park bandstand. Lunch will be served for all participants following the parade at Harley P. Chase Pawcatuck VFW Post 1265, 160 S. Broad St. in Pawcatuck.
