School: Williams School in New London

    Number of graduates: 37

Ceremony location: Palmer Auditorium at Connecticut College

    Date: Wednesday, June 7, 2023

    Commencement speaker

Sarah Marvel, of Williams’ history faculty: “Aside from your physical growth, and many inches have been added over these seven years, I have seen growth in every facet of your lives: you have become more intellectually curious, you are strong leaders, and you have matured and proven your ability to adapt to difficult circumstances.”

Student speakers (selected by the class)

Lucy Fader, Old Lyme: “I can proudly stand up here and say that this group sitting beside me was involved. Whether it be excelling in the classroom, fiercely competing in athletics, or shining artistically, our class displayed talent in so many distinctive ways. We learned the importance of teamwork, companionship, and perseverance.”

Dan Genovese, Westbrook: “Since we were the first class to fully readjust back to pre-pandemic life, community spirit throughout the school was on a downward spiral until this class decided to turn it around by reinvigorating school spirit.”

    Class motto:

    “This is what we do.”
