East Lyme hosts Health and Safety Fair
East Lyme ― The 2024 Health and Safety Fair returns Wednesday for the first time in a decade with exhibits and presentations from local and state organizations.
The event runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Town Hall with topics ranging from preparing for severe weather to how to give CPR to pets.
East Lyme police K-9 units will demonstrate their skills from 10 a.m. to noon and 3 to 5 p.m. East Lyme/Waterford Animal Control comfort dog Percy will be available for a meet and greet throughout the day.
Participants also include the East Lyme Fire Service, Ledge Light Health District, American Red Cross, Eversource Energy, Connecticut National Guard, Brian Dagle Foundation, United Way and the state Department of Homeland Security and Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.
The rain date is Wednesday, Sept. 25.
