Make a Difference: Thames River Family Program
WHO: Denise, a young mother with one child, 3-year-old Kimberly.
AGENCY: Thames River Family Program transitional housing for homeless pregnant and parenting youth 18 to 24 years old.
THEIR SITUATION: Denise came to the program after leaving an abusive relationship and lacking family support. Denise continues to work on strengthening her life skills, healthy relationship patterns, and self-sufficiency during her residency. She has secured child care so she can return to the work force. She is excited to start this new chapter in her life, and is working hard to gain housing and emotional stability.
WHAT TO DONATE: Kimberly likes Disney princesses, Squish-mallow, learning activities. She wears clothing size 4t and shoe size 9c. Denise would like gift cards for groceries, Uber/Lyft, Walmart, and household items.
