Montville — Jared Garcia scored 18 points to lead St. Thomas More to a 68-56 win over Montmorency College of Canada in a men's basketball game on Sunday.

Brendan McGuire had seven points, five rebounds and five assists, Nick MacDonald scored 12 and Joel Soriano and Garcia had seven rebounds each for the Chancellors (9-7).

H.S. girls' fencing

• Fitch's foil team of Sneha Kumar, Jaiden Lehman and Sophie Bonnassieux picked up a pair of wins, beating NFA 7-2 and Griswold 9-0 on Saturday. NFA beat Griswold 8-1. In epee, the team of Jennifer Lee, Aaliyah Tira and Julia Zieminski led Fitch to a 7-2 win over NFA.

H.S. boys' fencing

• NFA picked up a pair of wins in foil as the team of Ryan Smith, Andrew Giroux and Ishan Walia posted victories over Griswold (9-0) and Fitch (8-1) on Saturday. Fitch beat Griswold 9-0. Fitch's epee team of Ron Pfisterer, Gabe Reigelsperser and David Lively beat NFA 8-1.
