New London — Connecticut College junior Billy Fleurima had a big day during Sunday's 316-146 loss to Tufts University in a men's outdoor track and field meet.

Fleurima won the 100-meter dash in 11.75 seconds and the 200 in 23.19 for the Camels. He also ran the anchor leg of the winning 4x100 relay team (46.69) which included Ian McAleer, Samuel Gardiner and Christopher Koskinen.

Koskinen set a school record in the pole vault (14 feet, 1.25 inches) for Conn, which also picked up individual wins from Morgan Baughman in the 3,000 steeplechase (10:08.89), Chris Verstandig in the 1,500 (4:04.54), Matt Carter in the 5,000 (14:38.97) and Zachary Rivard in the javelin (99-7).

In the women's meet, Tufts won 305-210, but Conn sophomore Malissa Lindsey was a double winner, capturing the 100 dash (12.7) and 200 (26.18). The Camels also picked up wins from Julia Curran in the 5,000 (18:07.57), Emma Clark in the discus (93-9), Emma Wheeler in the shot put (35-3.75) and Erica MacSweeney in the long jump (16-6.5).

Men's soccer

• Augie Djerdjaj converted a penalty kick just two minutes into the match and freshman Matt Scoffone added an insurance goal in the 86th minute as Conn College beat Roger Williams 2-0 at Silfen Field. Goalie Sam Maidenberg made three saves to post his second straight shutout for the Camels (2-0).

Women's soccer

• Five difference players scored goals as Conn College opened an abbreviated spring season with a 5-0 win over Eastern Connecticut. The Camels held a 19-8 edge in shots and goalies Sarah Hall and Nici Scola, both freshmen, combined for three saves.

College baseball

• Avery Point was swept in a doubleheader by Lackawanna College on Saturday in Groton, dropping the opener 15-8 and the second game 9-3. Javon Hernandez and Chris Oliwa each had a hit and scored a run for the Pointers (1-5) in the first game while Jaden Fowler had a hit and run in the second game while Jeremy Nunes had a hit, walk and run scored. Lackawanna is 17-4.

H.S. softball

• Loretta Svedarsky's RBI triple snapped a 4-4 tie in the fifth inning and Lyman Memorial went on to defeat St. Bernard 10-5 in an Eastern Connecticut Conference Division II game on Saturday. Kassidy LaTour, who came on in relief to record the final 10 outs and earn a save, also had three hits while Rylee Benway and Hannah Christiansen had two hits apiece.
