Bernie Sanders campaign reminds voters of deadline to switch parties
North Stonington — A contact with the Bernie Sanders campaign in Connecticut is reminding voters registered in a political party that they have until Jan. 26 to change their party affiliation if they wish to vote in the primary of another party.
Marilyn Mackay, who works with the Bernie Sanders campaign, issued the news release early last week.
"It is suggested you make the change prior to the Winter Holidays to avoid forgetting to so do," Mackay wrote. "Those not registered to vote should do so to avoid being ineligible to vote in the Primary."
Voters that are not registered in either party may affiliate with either party up to the day before election day on April 26.
