St. Augustine by the Sea to host community conversation on Independent Catholicism
New London — St. Augustine by the Sea will welcome Bishop David Martins of the Diocese of New England on Dec. 17 as the celebrant for the Fourth Sunday of Advent Liturgy. Concelebrated Mass will be held at 5 p.m. at the Alliance for Living Building, 154 Broad St.
After Mass, the bishop will hold a community conversation answering questions about Independent Catholicism. Father Frank Homets, the pastor of St. Augustine, will be on hand to talk about the church.
St. Augustine by the Sea is an all-inclusive and welcoming Catholic church affiliated with the Independent Catholic Church of the Americas. Weekly Liturgy is 10:30 a.m. every Sunday at 154 Broad St.
