Mystic Garden Club awards scholarships

Mystic -- The Mystic Garden Club recently awarded four scholarships to students planning to study horticulture, agriculture, floriculture, botany, landscape design, plant pathology/science or environmental studies.

The high school students who received a scholarship are Emma Grimsley, a Stonington High School graduate, who will attend the University of Connecticut this fall, and Jillian Leger from Fitch High School, who will attend Endicott College. Both plan to major in environmental studies.

Two students in the Environmental Engineering Technology program at Three Rivers Community College also received scholarships. They are Heather Palady and Kristina Beaulieu. Both are continuing their studies and plan on careers in the environmental field.
