RAISE YOUR HANDS AND REJOICE — the 2018 schedules are here
Long time. No blog.
There’s no intro necessary — below is every school playing under CIAC jurisdiction. Click on the school name to be whisked away to their schedule.
We’ll post something at some point about games of note once we have time to dissect everything, but we can definitely tell you this — plan on being at defending CIAC Class S champion St. Joseph the afternoon of Saturday, Sept. 8, when it hosts New Canaan.
In case you’ve forgotten, last year’s Rams vs. Cadets game was nutters. That and you'll see elebenty D-I recruits (we don't say FBS here) — St. Joseph quarterback David Summers (Maryland), and quarterback Drew Pyne (Notre Dame) and offensive linemen Jack Conley (Boston College) and Jack Stewart (Michigan) from New Canaan. That's a lotta' talent on one field in our puny state.
Berlin: So young, yet got so far (Class M semis) last season. Look out.
Capital/Achievement: Going to be seeing a lot of it yon Eastern Connecticut Conference way. Also opens the season with four straight road games, followed by four straight home games to end it. It ain't easy not having a conference to call home.
Coventry/Windham Tech/Bolton/Lyman
YOUR three-time, three-time, three-time Class LL champion Darien Blue Wave
Fitch and it's 1000% guapo FLEXBONE~!
Greenwich could be YOUR preseason No. 1: Had a roster larger than the population of Liechtenstein last season, and so, so many of those dudes are back. Plays Week 4 (Oct. 5) at New Canaan, which is also on the shortlist of potential preseason No. 1 teams.
YOUR Class L champion Hand Tigers
YOUR Class M champion Killingly Redmen, home of the RPO: RUN. PEOPLE. OVER.
New Canaan is going to be monstrous
North Haven, proud kings of GOD'S FATHER'S OFFENSE~!
Shelton: LOADED.
YOUR Class S champion St. Joseph Cadets: Their offense should be even more ridiculous than last season.
Trumbull, now under NEW MANAGEMENT: The Eagles are the lone team that has to play Darien, Greenwich, New Canaan, and St. Joseph. EEP.
Valley Regional/Old Lyme WARRIORCATS
Windsor Locks/Suffield/East Granby
