Angel and Dan DeFilippo of Trumbull and Patricia and Anthony Sammataro of Waterford are happy to announce the engagement of their children, Cassandra DeFilippo and Dan Sammataro.

Cassandra is a 2004 graduate of Trumbull High School, a 2008 graduate of Southern Connecticut State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing, and a 2015 graduate of Sacred Heart University with a master’s degree in nursing. She is employed by Molecular NeuroImaging in New Haven as a clinical research nurse.

Dan is a 2004 graduate of Waterford High School and a 2008 graduate of the University of Connecticut with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is employed by GM2 Associates, Inc. in Glastonbury as a bridge inspection team leader.

A June 2017 wedding in St. Thomas is being planned.
