Chuck and Lori Merlo of Gales Ferry are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Jessica, to Christian Messler, son of William and Virginia Messler of Allentown, Pa.

Jessica received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from West Chester University and a master’s degree in clinical and counseling psychology from Chestnut Hill College. She currently works in the commercial loan department at BB&T Bank in Allentown, Pa.

Christian earned a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from Muhlenberg College and completed master’s coursework in secondary education at Franklin Pierce University. He is a now a financial advisor for Independence Planning Group in Allentown, Pa.

The wedding is set for October 2018.
