Brae and Elizabeth Rafferty of Mystic are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Elizabeth Rafferty, to Johnathon Anthony McGahey, son of Mrs. Becky Graffam Frey of Springvale, Maine and Mr. Walter William McGahey of Saco, Maine.

Ms. Rafferty is a graduate of Fitch High School, Groton. She holds a Master of Education in Teaching and Learning from the University of Southern Maine, and teaches third grade in the Westbrook, Maine School System.

Mr. McGahey holds a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Organizational Management from the University of Southern Maine. He is a Facilities Operation Specialist for the Department of Defense and a Second Lieutenant in the Maine Army National Guard.

The couple resides in Westbrook, Maine. An August 14, 2021, wedding is planned.
