John Legend brings Christmas tour to Foxwoods

What’s next for John Legend, a Pulitzer Prize?

    Hey, you never know.

Legend earned his last name (his birth moniker was Stephens) when he became one of the youngest artists ever to win all of the big arts awards: Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony. The last was the Emmy, which he nabbed in September for producing “Jesus Christ Superstar” on NBC.

That makes him the first African-American man to win a competitive EGOT. (There have been artists like Quincy Jones who have won with honorary awards.)

Legend is out not on a regular ol’ tour but on a Christmas tour. He released his first Xmas album, titled, naturally, “A Legendary Christmas,” in late October, and he’s performing in concerts in support of that. He’ll be doing the “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas”/“What Christmas Means to Me” thing Saturday at Foxwoods.

John Legend, 8 p.m. Saturday, Grand Theater, Foxwoods; $78-$253; 1-800-200-2882.
