    Outdoor concerts in Groton

    Quick! Get your summer concerts in while you can!

    Groton boasts not one but two weekly free concert series each summer.

    The Groton Parks & Recreation Summer SoundWaves Concert Series at Esker Point Beach is presented by Groton Utilities, and it gives audiences lively music and great water views. The bands playing the last two Esker Point gigs of the season are Sugar on Thursday and Fusion on Aug. 4.

    Parking is available at Esker Point Beach is available for $10 per vehicle, $5 for a motorcycle. There is also a free shuttle from Fitch High School from 5 p.m. to 30 minutes after the show.

    Washington Park is the other concert locale, for the City of Groton Concerts in the Park Concert Series. The last show of the season is Friday, featuring the band Wild Nights.
