A new decade, a new hit: Scotty McCreery to play Foxwoods

Remember when Scotty McCreery was just a fresh-faced 17-year-old with a voice as deep as Randy Travis’s competing on “American Idol”?

Well, hold onto your cowboy hat, because McCreery just turned 30. And he and his wife have a 1-year-old baby.

He’s also had a consistent career over that decade-plus. His latest song, “Cab in a Solo,” reached #1 on the country charts. Expect that and other hits like “Damn Strait” and “It Matters to Her” when McCreery performs Friday at Foxwoods.
