Dogstar rocks on at Foxwoods
It’s not enough that Keanu Reeves is a movie star. Or that he has been named the “internet’s boyfriend” for his random acts of kindness and generosity.
No, he’s also … a rock star
Reeves started the alt-rock band Dogstar, for which he plays bass, in 1991. The group went on a hiatus of sorts in the early 2000s but dove back in in 2020. They released an album, “Somewhere Between the Power Lines and Palm Trees,” in 2023. And now they’re on what they have dubbed the Summer Vacation Tour 2024.
They bring that tour to Foxwoods on Friday.
While Reeves might get the most publicity, Dogstar is as much the product of drummer (and fellow actor) Rob Mailhouse, along with guitarist-vocalist Bret Domrose. Party on, dudes!
Dogstar, 8 p.m. Friday, Great Cedar Showroom, Foxwoods; $104 and up; foxwoods.com.
