    Stand Up For Animals 20th annual tournament — Thursday, Sept. 1 at Lake of Isles. Shotgun start at 9:30 a.m., cost is $250 per golfer and includes cart, light breakfast and brunch. Contact: www.standupforanimals.org

    RUNNING

    Ocean Beach/Kelley Half Marathon — Registration has opened for the 60th annual race, which will be held Aug. 6 with the start (8 a.m.) and finish at Ocean Beach Park in New London. There is no entry fee but runners are asked to bring a donation for the Gemma E. Moran United Way/Labor Food Center. Event information is at kelleyroadrace.com.
