    New London — Excitement went hand in hand with duty Thursday night at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy.

    The Class of 2020 cadets received their first duty assignments — something they've worked toward for the past four years — during the annual Billet Night ceremony at the academy's Leamy Hall.
