19-year-old walks into New London hospital with gunshot wound

New London — A 19-year-old man walked into Lawrence + Memorial Hospital with a gunshot wound Thursday night, police said.

New London Police Department spokesman Capt. Matt Galante said the hospital called the police at 10:52 p.m. The man's injuries were not life-threatening.

Galante on Friday said he could not provide details on the location of the shooting, the location of the wound or the town the victim lives in. He said he did not know if the victim was admitted to the hospital or released.

The investigation remains active.
