EB worker injured in sub under construction

Groton― A worker at Electric Boat was taken to the hospital Tuesday night with a possible leg injury sustained while working inside a submarine under construction.

The Groton City Fire Department was called to EB at 10:50 p.m. to assist in removing the worker from the tight confines of the submarine, Groton City Fire Chief Robert Tompkins said.

The patient was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment. No further information was immediately available.
