Driver suffers serious injuries in Stonington crash

Stonington ― Police said a man suffered serious injuries in a single-car accident Saturday night when he hit a stone wall at the intersection of Route 1 and Greenhaven Road.

Police said the man was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Stonington police and the Southeastern Connecticut Regional Accident Reconstruction team were at the scene. The accident is still under investigation.

No further information was available.
