Police search for missing Montville man

State police have issued a statewide Silver Alert for a 34-year-old man missing from Montville.

Joseph Varella was last seen on Wednesday in Montville wearing a black New York Giants ball cap, a dark hooded sweatshirt, jean and dark sneakers.

Varella is 5-foot-3, weighs 140 pounds and has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information about Varella’s whereabouts is asked to contact state police at Troop E in Montville at 860-848-6500.
