Man sustains life-threatening injuries after stabbing at New London residence
New London ― A 36-year-old man was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after being stabbed in a city residence Friday night, police said.
Police said they received an emergency call around 9:24 p.m. Friday that a stabbing victim was on the way to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital.
According to a news release, police identified Jeremy Rolon, 22, as the suspect. Rolon, who admitted to stabbing the victim during a physical altercation at the residence in the area of Bank and Spring streets, had non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said Rolon was treated and released from the hospital and then taken into police custody. He was charged with first-degree assault and held on a $150,000 cash/surety bond.
“The incident was determined to be a physical domestic altercation and is not a random act,” police said in a news release.
