Norwich ― A kitchen fire in a mobile home on Hunters Road was extinguished quickly shortly after midnight Wednesday, with no injuries.

One adult occupant was displaced and is being assisted by the Southeastern Connecticut chapter of the Red Cross, Taftville Fire Chief Timothy Jencks said.

Crews from the Taftville Volunteer Fire Department and the Norwich Fire Department responded to the call, which came in at 12:02 a.m.
