Man stabbed near Mountain Avenue and Prest Street in New London

New London ― A man stabbed in the area of Mountain Avenue and Prest Street Wednesday night was taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of serious but not life-threatening injuries, police said in a Thursday afternoon press release.

Police said they got a call about the stabbing at 8:03 p.m.

Members of the department’s Investigative Services Division arrived at the scene to canvass the area for evidence.

Police said they are still investigating, and encouraged anyone with information about the stabbing to call the department’s detective bureau at (860) 447-1481, or submit anonymous information via the New London Tips 411 system by texting NLPDTip plus the information to Tip411 (847411).
