Four seriously hurt in Stonington motor vehicle accident

Stonington ― Police said four people were seriously injured Saturday afternoon in a motor vehicle accident involving a farm truck and a car on Route 184 at Jeremy Hill Road.

Deputy Police Chief Todd Olson said LifeStar helicopter was called and was in the air, but due to the timing, Stonington Ambulance ended up transporting four victims with serious injuries to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital in New London.

The road will be closed for some time for accident reconstruction, he said.

DOT, as well as Stonington Public Works, responded to install barricades to close the road, he said.

The crash happened around 4 p.m., Olson said.
