Motorcyclist dies in New London crash
New London ― A motorcyclist from South Dakota died Sunday in a crash in the area of Colman and Vauxhall streets, police said.
Police said Curtis Barkdull, 45, of Sturgis, S.D., was involved in an accident involving two cars near the entrance of the New London Shopping Center. Four other people were taken to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries in the 4:47 p.m. crash.
Members of the New London Police Department’s Investigative Services Division and Accident Reconstruction Team are investigating the crash. No additional details about its cause were immediately available.
