Norwich hit-and-run leaves resident in critical condition
Norwich ― Police said a 66-year-old Norwich man remains in critical condition after being hit Tuesday by a vehicle in the area of 655 East Main St.
The crash occurred around 5:25 p.m., police said. When officers got to the scene, they found the man had injuries to his head and torso. He was taken to Backus Hospital and then transported to Hartford Hospital.
“Last I knew, he was in critical condition,” said Lt. Scott Meikle on Thursday night.
Police said they have no information on the vehicle that hit the man, whose driver fled the scene before officers arrived.
